This is to certain extent related to the Tachibana, not occurring in anywhere else outside of Japan. The name «Koji» is weel established name from antiquity, but judging from the fact that this was called «small Koji», the original Koji (transcriptions of Chinese Kan-tsu) must have been affixed to a still larger Citrus, such as Benikoji, the synonym of which Daikoji or large Koji.¹⁾
